1 Cape 2 Ways

Prepare yourselves for a lengthy post.
A few weeks ago, I was extended the offer to create a post styling an item of my choice from eShakti.  I looked into the site a bit before responding to get an idea of what they had to offer and what I could see myself wearing over and over. The first thing I noticed when loading the site was their tag "we design, you customize" and a banner flashed "real fashion for real people". I loved this idea of creating a brand that is accessible to such a wide audience. I was sold.

I scoured their website for quite some time, making lists of items I loved and narrowing it down to what I felt was the most "me". Part of eShakti's "real fashion for real people" campaign provides the opportunity to customize the product's size or style. I was really torn between this capelet and this poncho but ultimately decided on the capelet because of my undying love for capes and feeling like I'm wrapped in a blanket. Because my measurements are almost spot on to an existing size, I decided to order a custom style. I ordered it to come mid-thigh because, like I said, I really love to feel like I'm wrapped in a blanket, it's just so cozy. A great feature about this cape is that it has little elastic bands on the inside to keep it up and around your arms! I have such issues with my other cape falling when I move because I flail (yes, flail) my arms around when I'm talking and/ or shopping.

My package was prepared within five days of ordering and delivered only two days later! I was shocked at how quickly I received my cape and how it was delivered just as we were packing the car to leave for the lake!  Seriously, it couldn't have been timed any better because I really wanted to use the snowy backdrop. The cape was exactly what I had expected and was going to work perfectly for how I had styled it in my mind. Well, that was great, but I forgot my boots in my rush to pack for the weekend (Black Friday exhaustion). So, long story short, I have two outfits to share with you, both showcasing this fabulous cape eShakti so kindly sent me to share with all of you.
P.S. You'll want to read to the bottom for a special deal ;)
I'll try to avoid rambling too much more. For my first look, I paired my cape with these fabulous cords I found at Gap and a Free People thermal with gorgeous cuff details. I kept the outfit pretty simple but added some glam with my gold snakeskin loafers and an oversized strand of pearls.
Look One Details: Cape: c/o eShakti // Thermal: Free People (Similar) // Cords: Gap // Loafers: Target // Pearl Necklace: J. Crew

For my second look, I reversed the colors with a sheer burgundy shirt from Cotton On and some pleather leggings to add a little edge. Thigh high boots and mid-thigh capes are the best of friends, the new PB&J really. Again, the oversized pearls just add a fun touch of glam that I love so much.
