Teaching Style: RWB

This past week was my field placement's homecoming which means I was able to participate in a day of Spirit Week! My teacher texted me to tell me it was Red, White, and Blue day and I immediately put this look together in my head.

I always loved participating in our spirit week in high school because it really showed a sense of community when a vast majority were a part of it. I really didn't think I had any red, because despite this wish list, I rarely feel bold enough to buy/wear it. I was in luck though because I found this little red bodycon (similar) at Cotton On earlier this semester. Once again, the ruffle slip came in handy for adding a bit of length and fullness. To add some blue, warmth, and coverage, my favorite thrifted denim button down was the perfect solution.
You may notice when I belt my waist that I don't actually use the holes. There's never enough holes to appropriately belt my waist and instead of punching my own, I came up with a simple alternative. I simply slide the belt through the loop on the front (if there is one)-completely ignoring the buckle-then when I have it as tight as I'd like, I use two clear elastics tied together to secure the tail in the back.
